The Assembly, in a statement, assured the public that comprehensive investigations are actively ongoing and that those found culpable will face the full rigours of the law.
It emphasised the relevance of the Gardens for ecological and tourism purposes, stressing that the Assembly was committed to ensuring justice to serve as a deterrent.
Meanwhile, it said a technical team had been deployed to assess the extent of damage, and a restoration plan will be developed in consultation with the Department of Parks and Gardens, Accra.
“The Assembly urges the general public to remain calm and allow the investigative process to proceed without interference. Anyone with credible information that may assist the investigation is encouraged to contact the Assembly or the Aburi Police Station.”
