Asantehene Hosts Olu Of Warri Kingdom On Akwasidae
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, on Sunday, April 18 2022 marked the third Akwasidae festival with the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, as Special Guest.
Ogiame Atuwatse came to the Manhyia Palace with a large entourage to honour the Asante sacred day with Asantehene.
Akwasidae is an important Asante festival that focuses on the remembrance of ancestors of the land. The festival brings together chiefs and people to the Manhyia Palace.
Among the huge crowd of people at the Akwasidae were several government officials and dignitaries not excluding chiefs.
Ogiame Atuwatse III is the traditional ruler of the Warri Kingdom in Nigeria. He became the 21st Olu of Warri on August 21 2021 succeeding Ogiame Ikenwoli his uncle who was the 20th Olu of Warri.
