Suspect Unlawfully Possessing 6 Pistols To Return To Court On April 25
Mohammed Ali alias Water is expected to reappear before High Court One in Tamale on Monday, April 25, 2022, after he was arraigned in court last Friday for unlawful possession of firearms.
The court remanded him into police custody.
The suspect was arrested on Thursday, April 7 in the Northern Region.
“The suspect was arrested at the Pigu police barrier, on the Tamale-Bolgatanga Highway during routine police intelligence operations”, the police explained.
The operation subsequently led to the retrieval of six (6) new foreign-made ‘9mm Calibre Bruni 92’ pistols, the police confirmed in a statement.
“We commend the Northern Regional Police Command, especially the team that was involved in this operation for their diligence.
“We would like to assure the public that the Police remain committed to ensuring a safe and secure environment for all. We, therefore, urge you to continue to help and support us.”
