Government probing violence rather than the cause of MMDCE’s rejection – Hon Fuseni Donkor
Former District Chief executive of Sekyere Afraim Plains, Hon Fuseni Donkor has explained that the Government is probing into the violence involved in the MMDCE nominee’s voting processes rather than the cause of their rejection.
Speaking in an interview on Opemsuo radio’s morning show Nkwantananso on Thursday, November 11th, 2021, he further explained that the delay in the MMDCE nomination is factoring in their rejection.
“Since the nomination of MMDCE’s wasn’t on the right path most Assembly members and members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) got angry”
According to him, the delay helped these people to get ample time in rejecting the MMDCE nominees.
“Every qualified person from the ruling party can contest and be voted by people in Metropolitan, municipal and District Assembly. This will make everyone feel involved” he said.
