Anglican Church Vow To Deal With Kiss-Awarding Priest
The International Province of Ghana Anglican Communion has issued a statement after a video of Chaplain of the St Monica’s College of Education surfaced on social media allegedly giving kisses to some students who serve as bible readers.
According to the communiqué, the Church is saddened by the development and had therefore launched an investigation into the matter.
It also noted that the Priest will be dealt with in according with the norms of the Church
Chaplain of St. Monica’s College of Education was filmed kissing lined up Bible readers during church service.
The Chaplain, whose name has been given as Father Larbi led the special Sunday morning service on August 15, 2021 for the final year students who will be leaving the school pretty soon.
Source from the school told opemsuo.com Father Larbi told the congregation made up of final years students, he was going to award the Bible readers (who received neither certificate nor money) with kisses for their devotion to the work.
Three students were sighted in the video being given kisses; the last one however seemed reluctant but succumbed to the force of Father Larbi.
