Damaged Pipeline Destroys Goods At Kejetia Market-Nana Akwasi Prempeh
Chairman of the Petty Traders Association, Nana Akwasi Prempeh, has stated that the halt in business activities resulting in the damaging of products of some traders at the Kejetia market was not due to a downpour.
Speaking in a interview on Opemsuo radio’s mid-day news, he said that the damage was rather caused by a ruptured pipeline .
According to him, thirty-two shops were hit by the influx of water from the ruptured pipeline.
“The damage wasn’t caused by a rain but a ruptured pipeline. Thirty-two (32) traders were affected by the incident. The tunnel is at the ground floor near lorry terminal”, he revealed.
He also said the affected traders have so far been asked for a an inventory on the damaged goods.
He further demanded a reassessment of the entire Kejetia market.
