Opare Addo Gives Update On Benjamin Afutu

The issue of Hearts of Oak midfield dynamo Benjamin Afutu has become the talk of the day following his soon-to-be expired contract.

The midfielder’s performance at Hearts has been impressive thus far, and supporters of the club are rooting for his contract renewal.

The hard tackler has been instrumental this season and has contributed immensely to Hearts journey this season.

According to Hearts of Oak Communications Manager, Opare Addo, the midfield Benjamin Afutu will stay with the oldest club in Ghana.

“I can assure you that Benjamin Afutu will play for Hearts. He will play for no other team than Hearts for now,” said Opare Addo on Opemsuo 104.7 fm evening sports show.

Further checks by Opemsuo.com has revealed that the midfielder has extended his contract with Hearts.

The 24-year-old was reported before the season to have traveled to Azerbaijan in a bid to secure a contract at an unnamed top-tier club after failing to reach an agreement with the Phobians over a new deal.
