Dr. Beatrice Wiafe Addai Admonishes Ghanaians To Go For Regular Check-ups
Renowned Breast cancer Surgeon and Philanthropist, Dr. Beatrice Wiafe Addai, has admonished Ghanaians to make regular check-ups part of their routines since delay in reporting any malfunctions in the human body system could be recipe for disaster.
According to the experienced Medical Officer and President of Peace and Love Hospital, regular check-ups provide an incredible avenue for early detection of diseases fighting against the body system.
On May 1, 2021, at the Manhyia Palace, Opemsuo Radio partnered Peace and Love Hospital to screen residents of Kumasi with no cost to celebrate Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s 22 years of enstoolment, His Majesty 71st birthday and Opemsuo Radio first anniversary.
Beneficiaries hand their blood pressure, breast, prostate checked as well as their eyes, sugar level and others under strict COVID-19 protocols.
Speaking at the program, Dr. Beatrice Wiafe Addai particularly warned women about breast cancer and provided hope that early diagnose gives one a better opportunity of a successful treatment.
“Breast cancer is the number one cause of death among Ghanaian women as far as cancers are concerned. Finding breast cancer as early as possible gives one a better chance of successful treatment.”

Dr. Wiafe Addai and her Peace and Love Hospitals medical team educated, counseled, and screened the women who took part of the program in a bid to fight against misconceptions and stigmatization that tend to discourage them from seeking early medical attention.
Dr. (Mrs.) Beatrice Wiafe Addai has 31 years experience as a Medical officer in Ghana; thus from 1989 to date. She has been a Breast Surgeon for the past twelve years and a consultant in Breast Cancer Management.
Her training and wide scope of study as a specialist Breast Pathologist and a surgeon has placed her at a convenient exposition as the Chief Executive Officer and the Senior Medical Officer of the Peace and Love Hospital both in Accra and Kumasi; a specialist hospital that is championing the course of Breast Cancer and its related diseases in Ghana.
