We Aren’t Selling Unclaimed Baggage- Ghana Airports Company

The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has issued a disclaimer over the circulation of a notice alleging the sale of unclaimed baggage sale.

The fake notice which was circulated on Facebook by an account under the name ‘Airport announcement’ claimed the baggage was being sold for ₵32.

In its disclaimer, the GACL noted that the post is false and aims to dupe the unsuspecting public.
“We have recently become aware of fresh attempts by these faceless individuals, once again using Facebook, to deceive the unsuspecting public into paying a specific amount of money.”

“Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) would like to emphatically reiterate that the post is completely false, orchestrated to misinform and dupe the unsuspecting public, and should thus, be disregarded,” it added.

It urged the public to take relevant information from their verified social media pages, adding that responsibility has not been delegated to a third party.
