No 3rd Party Sanctioned to Raise Funds For Children’s Park Renovation- Otumfuo Foundation
The Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation (OOTIIF) has stated that no third party has been sanctioned to raise funds for the redevelopment of the Kumasi Children’s Park project.
It comes after its attention was drawn to some fraudulent social media accounts and online platforms claiming to be partners and soliciting funds for the project.
In a press statement issued by the OOTIIF on December 18, it emphasized that the project is a partnership between the non-governmental organization of the King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, First Atlantic Bank, and Nguvu Mining Limited.
“It has come to our attention that unauthorized individuals are impersonating the Kumasi Children’s Park Restoration Project by creating fake social media pages and online platforms to fraudulently solicit funds.”
It added that, “All official updates, announcements, and requests for support will only be shared through our verified platforms.”
It has therefore urged the public to avoid engaging with or donating to any third party in support of the project.
“Please report them immediately to the Otumfuo Osei Tutu Il Foundation or via our verified social media accounts. Together, let us ensure this important project benefits the community as intended and remains free from exploitation.”
