Four Nabbed over Fatal Shooting Incident at Awutu Senya East

Four individuals have been arrested over a fatal shooting incident that occurred at the Iron City office in the Awutu Senya East Constituency in Kasoa, in the Central Region.

The suspects in the incident that claimed a life and caused injury to another have been identified as Awudu Yakubum, Kwabena Essah, Hakeem Bawa and Issaka Mashual.

“The Ghana Police Service has arrested four suspects in connection with a shooting incident that occurred at the Iron City office in the Awutu Senya East Constituency, Kasoa, in the Central Region, which led to the death of one person and the injury of another,” the police announced in a statement.

The four are assisting in investigations, it noted.

According to the police report, One AK47 rifle with 69 rounds of ammunition was retrieved upon their arrest.

Meanwhile, the injured victim is currently receiving medical care, while the body of the deceased has been taken to the morgue for preservation and autopsy.
