I Don’t See Myself Coaching After Retirement- Ronaldo
With his rich football expertise and talent, it was expected that Cristiano Ronaldo would automatically follow the trail and secure himself a job in the sport- at least as a head coach- but the Portuguese has his eye in a different direction.
In an interview, the 39-year-old who has no clear-cut plan for his retirement noted that he will head into a trade outside football when it does happen.
“It’s difficult to think that I will be a manager one day. In my mind, I’m not considering to be the head coach of any football team. So… I don’t even think about it”.
“I see my future doing things out of football”, told Portuguese Channel Now.
Speaking about his retirement, he stated that he has no planned timeline but anticipates it will occur at his current club based in Saudi Arabia probably in the next three years.
“I don’t know if I will retire soon, in two or three years… but probably I will 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐀𝐥 𝐍𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐫…I’m very happy at this club, I feel good in this country too, I love playing in Saudi Arabia. I want to continue.”
Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in December 2022 on a free transfer after mutually parting ways with Manchester United over a controversial interview. His contract runs until 2025.
