EC Reopens Vote Transfer and Proxy Voting Application Tomorrow

The Electoral Commission (EC) will tomorrow, July 3, 2024 make the opportunity available for security agencies to apply for vote transfer across the country as well as those who intend to apply for proxy voting.

A statement signed by the Deputy Director of Research, Monitoring and Evaluation, Fred Tetteh noted that the exercise would be done in all District Offices of the EC.

“This comes to inform the General Public that the Electoral Commission will re-open the Applications for the Transfer of Votes and Proxy Voting across the country for Security Agencies in all its District Offices across the country.”

Also, this time around, the Commission said the applications for vote transfer will extend to 25 public universities and prison facilities across the country.

The exercise is expected to start from Wednesday, July 3 and end on Friday, July 5, 2024.

It further announced reopening of application for special voting by the media and security agencies.

This will take place from 6th to 7th July.
