The Asante Kotoko Sporting Club has parted ways with 11 players following the end of the 2023/2024 premier league season.

The Club unveiled the set of players which included Black Stars goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, on its Facebook page.

Some of these players have expired contracts with others being relieved for indiscipline, according to reports.

The 11 players are Kalo Ouattara, Nicholas Osei Bonsu, Isaac Oppong, Augustine Agyapong, Nicholas Mensah, John Tedeku, Sherif Mohammed, George Mfegue, Serge Eric Zeze, Danlad Ibrahim and Moise Pouaty.

“The Club is grateful for their services and wish them the very best for the future,” it added.

Kotoko after a torrid start following leadership shakeup further had its performance impacted by a disagreements between the head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, and the playing body.

This took the intervention of their Patron, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to restore calm and set the team back on winning ways.

They finished the season sixth on the league log on 49 points after 34 games, winning 14 of them, losing 13 and drawing seven times.

They scored 35 goals and conceded 29.
