Otumfuo@25: A-Efah Pharmaceuticals Supports with Medical Supplies
The Management of Amponsah-Efah Pharmaceuticals Limited has made provisions for medical supplies in support of major events slated to mark the 25th Enstoolment Anniversary of the supreme ruler of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
The drugs were presented to the Health Committee of the anniversary’s Planning Committee on Tuesday, April 16, 2024.
A-EFAH Pharmaceuticals Limited, noted for the production of painkillers such as EFPAC, is the first pharmaceutical company to come on board with medical products in support of the events.
The donation included Zenol tablets for body pains, EFPAC, a painkiller, Citro-C for immune boosting, ointments and many others.
Presenting the products, the Export Manager, Mr Eugene Adokwei said, “Nananom informed us of the 25th anniversary of our King. We are here today to support you with some of the medical supplies.”
He also underscored the essence of their donation in an interview with Opemsuo Radio’s Kwame Adu Gyamfi Kumanin, saying, “These medicines include immune boosters, ointments and pain killers which will be relevant for any emergency health development.”
Receiving the products was the Chairman of the sub-committee on Health, Barima Sarfo Tweneboah Kodua who is the Paramount Chief of the Kumawu Traditional Area.
“We wrote to all Pharmaceutical Companies here to lend us their hand. That was in August 2023. We are glad they have responded favourably. On behalf of the Chairman of the Planning Committee and the entire Committee, we take delivery of the donation.”
