Football Stakeholders Forum March to Protest GFA Leadership

Ghanaian football fans, known as the Ghana Football Stakeholders Forum, has taken to the streets to voice their grievances against the current administration and leadership of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

The protestors with placards marched to the GFA office in Accra. Upon reaching their destination, they presented a petition to the Minister of Youth and Sports.

The demonstrators expressed their dissatisfaction with various aspects of the GFA’s administration, including chants reflecting concerns that there could be a perception of bias towards Dreams FC, the club where Kurt Okraku previously held the position of Executive Chairman, before his election as GFA president in 2019.

Nevertheless, the GFA announced on Monday that it would move its Secretariat to Tamale for their election scheduled for Thursday. With George Afriyie’s disqualification from the presidential race, Kurt Okraku now stands as the sole candidate in contention.

The GFA is proceeding with its election despite’s legal challenges.
