All 10 NPP Presidential Aspirants Approved After Vetting

The Vetting Committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has approved all ten candidates vying for the flagbearership position of the party.

This comes after Committee presented their report on Monday, July 10, 2023, following the vetting of the aspirants from July 3 to July 6, 2023.

A statement by the Secretary of the party, Justin Kodua Frimpong, on July 12 said their approval is subject to approval by the National Council of the party.

The Council will hold a deliberation on the recommendations of the Committee on July 20, the statement added.

A special Electoral College will be held to reduce the number of aspirants to five on August 26, 2023.

The aspirants include Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, Kwadwo Opoku, Mahamudu Bawumia, Boakye Kyerematen Agyarko, Kwabena Agyei Agyapong, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Kofi Konadu Apraku, Owusu Afriyie Akoto, Joe Ghartey and Francis Addai-Nimoh.
