Meteors Arrive In Egypt
The Black Meteors have arrived in Cairo, Egypt for pre-tournament-friendly games.
They are expected to take on the Pharaohs of Egypt before facing another team in a series of friendlies later this week.
The friendly games are aimed at preparing them for the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations tournament scheduled for June 24th to July 7th, 2023.
The boys arrived in Cairo on Monday in batches and are based in the city of Alexandria, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) said.
Currently in Egypt are Danlad Ibrahim, Aziz Daari, Aaron Essel, David Oppong, Haffiz Ibrahim, Samuel Ashie Quaye, Emmanuel Adjei, Emmanuel Appau, Emmanuel Esso, Dominic Nsobila, Samari Abass, Sylvester Simba,Godfred Wakii, Augustine Randolph and Ebenezer Addae.
The rest are Fatawu Issahaku, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, Jordan Amissah, Zubairu Ibrahim, Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer, Emmanuel Essiam, Nathaniel Agyei, Edmund Arko Mensah, Terry Yegbe, Emmanuel Yeboah, Kamaldeen Sulemana, Salim Adam and Kwadwo Poku Mahala.
Ernest Nuamah, Kamaldeen Sulemana and Ransford Yeboah Koniigsdoffer will join the team later after June 18.
On June 15, the players will face Egypt at the Alexandria stadium.
After that, another will take place on June 19 before the team leave Egypt for Morocco for the tournament.
