Bechem United’s Hafiz Konkoni Named Player Of The Month
Leading league goalscorer Hafiz Konkoni of Bechem United has been named player of the month of April in the 2022/2023 Ghana Premier League (GPL) season.
This was announced by Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Wednesday alongside the coach and goalkeeper of the month.
Konkoni scored four goals after making five appearances last month.
He competed with Sampson Eduku(Tamale City), Issah Kuka (RTU), Bassit Siedu(Accra Lions), Steven Mukwala (Asante Kotoko) and Kalo Ouattara (Berekum Chelsea).
Bechem United is third on the League table with 48 points.
Coach
Aduana FC’s head coach, Kwesi Fabin, toppled his three contenders for the award for the second time.
His club is leading the League by 52 points, two points clear of Medema SC.
In the month under review, his side won three out of five matches played and drew one game scoring a total of six goals and conceding three.
Goalkeeper
The Goalkeeper of the Month award went out to Legon Cities’ William Essu.
He beat Aduana FC’s Joseph Addo, King Faisal’s Benjamin Asiedu Kwesi, Asante Kotoko’s Frederick Asare and Bechem United FC’s Dari Aziz Haruna to win the title.
Legon Cities is 10th on the League table with 40 points.
In the six matches in April, they won three and lost three.
