4 Arrested For Attacking Patrol Officers
Four persons have been arrested for allegedly abusing patrol officers with the Axim Divisional Police.
The incident, according to a statement from the police, happened on March 9, 2023.
The arrest took place three weeks later.
The suspects have been identified as Kojo Siah, Emmanuel Mensah, Maxwell Cudjoe and Agyabu Haruna Dissawu.
The main suspect identified as Kwame Ato Asare Ani is on the run, the police disclosed.
A search at his residence led to the retrieval of four pump action shotguns, two machetes, eight BB rifle cartridges, two live BB rifle Cartridges and an unregistered motorbike.
The four suspects were remanded into police custody after they were arraigned in court.
Meanwhile, the police are pursuing the rest of the suspects.
