Manhyia South: Sports Minister, Napo, Others Commissions Dichemso AstroTurf

The Minister for Sports, Hon Mustapha Yusif, yesterday joined the Manhyia South lawmaker and current Energy Minister, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh to commission a newly-constructed Astroturf to help promote sporting activities.

Located in the Manhyia South Constituency, the edifice has been named after his Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the occupant of the Golden Stool, as “OTUMFUO PARK”.

According to the Manhyia South MP, the Facility is part of the government’s focus on revamping the old pitch and building ultramodern ones through President Akufo-Addo and the National Sports Authority’s initiative to help produce more quality players in the Manhyia South Constituency, also take Ghana football and the world by storm.

The Minister for Sports Hon. Mustapha Yusif also expressed his gratitude towards the tremendous work done by the MP and his stakeholders to help develop sports in his constituency, Ghana and the whole world at large.

He said the facility is not just going to be used for fun but rather to scout for talents, and develop them to become professional footballers in the future.
