5 Suspected Landguard Arrested In Gomoa Nyanyano
The police have arrested five suspected land guards in Gomoa Nyanyano for terrorizing developers in the community.
Concerns have been raised that land guards have been disturbing them for money and sacking them away from their purchased lands.
They take digging fees, asafo fees, bush fees, and many others which are not constitutional in land purchases.
The District Chief Executive Hon. Solomon Kwam together with the police has arrested five people engaging in such acts after a strict warning.
Reports say that it has been discussed with chiefs and owners of lands to take all complimentary fees from buyers with receipts to avoid any uncalled-for circumstances.
The arrested people will be sent to court after their arrest to deter others and send a message to the big men behind these land guards.
