GTBank Clarifies Misinterpreted Message To Customers

Guarantee Trust Bank Ghana known as the GTBank has clarified a message it sent to its customers regarding the discontinuation of acceptance of specific money notes.

The message from the bank indicated that it was discontinuing the acceptance of the 20 and 50 paper notes.

The currency for the notes was misinterpreted by customers as the Ghana cedi but GTBank says the currency in question is the British Pound.

The bank therefore apologised for the misinterpretation.

“A follow up SMS and email have been sent to all our customers”, the Corporate Communication and Experience of the bank announced.
