4 Arrested for Attacking Victims with Machete during Homowo
Four individuals are in police custody after they were arrested for allegedly attacking three persons with machetes during the Homowo Festival at Oyarifa in Accra over the weekend.
The four, identified as Latif Bako, Ebenezer Ewuzie, Stephen Owusu, and Ebenezer Adjei, were arrested on September 8.
A statement released by the police said one of the suspects also sustained an injury.
“The victims together with suspect Ebenezer Adjei who also sustained injuries, are currently receiving medical attention.”
Meanwhile, Latif Bako, Stephen Owusu and Ebenezer Ewuzi are in custody assisting the Police investigation, with efforts underway to get the other accomplices arrested.
The police used the opportunity to caution the public against violence.
“We would like to assure the public that anyone who disturbs the peace will be arrested and taken through the due process of the law.”
