23-Year-Old Man Arrested for Allegedly Murdering Father in Likpe Abrani
The Jasikan District Police have arrested 23-year-old Innocent Owusu in connection with the murder of his father, Peter Owusu, 59, at their residence in Likpe Abrani on 30th December 2025.
According to the police, the suspect fled the scene after committing the act but was apprehended based on intelligence at his hideout in the forest of Abrani. The decapitated body and head of the deceased have been recovered and deposited at the Hohoe Government Hospital Morgue for preservation and autopsy.
In a statement, the Oti Regional Police Command, John Nchor said, “Suspect Innocent Owusu is currently in custody assisting investigation.” He also commended the people of Likpe Abrani for their swift assistance in the arrest of the suspect.
Mr Nchor added, “The Oti Regional Police Command extends the condolences of the Police Administration to the bereaved family at this moment of grief.”
