GoldBod Projects US$1.2 Billion in Forex for November

The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) has projected generating US$1.2 billion in foreign exchange from its Artisanal and Small-Scale Mining (ASM) gold trade operations in November 2026.
According to the Board’s FX Generation and Sales Update for November 2026, out of the projected US$1.2 billion, US$800 million will be made available to commercial banks to support FX market stability.
The announcement, issued on November 2, 2026, by the Finance and Trade Directorate of GoldBod, said FX sales will be conducted on the GoldBod GoFX platform in line with the approved FX Sales and Intermediation Framework to ensure transparency, fairness and regulatory compliance.
The projection follows a strong performance in October, where GoldBod generated US$1.011 billion in foreign exchange from its ASM operations, in accordance with its mandate under section 2(b) of ACT 1140.
The Board disclosed that the full amount of US$1.011 billion generated in October was sold to authorised commercial banks on the GoldBod GoFX platform to support stability in the FX market during the month.
GoldBod reiterated its commitment to its statutory mandate to generate foreign exchange for the country and to continue supporting foreign reserve accumulation by the Bank of Ghana, in accordance with the Ghana Accelerated National Reserve Accumulation Policy (GANRAP).
