Lady Julia Expresses Reverence to Asantehemaa
Lady Julia Osei Tutu, wife of the Asantehene, has expressed her deepest reverence for the Queen of the Asante Kingdom, Nana Yaa Akyaa II.
She demonstrated this reverence during a courtesy visit to Her Majesty at her residence on Friday, October 16, 2026.
“I wish you a successful reign and long life,” Lady Julia said in a heartfelt message to the Queen.
As part of the visit, Lady Julia presented gifts to her traditional mother-in-law as a token of respect and honour for the new occupant of the Kusi Amoa Stool.
With a warm embrace and visible joy, Nana Yaa Akyaa II welcomed her daughter-in-law and expressed her profound appreciation for the visit and the thoughtful gifts.
The meeting was their first in-person encounter since the enstoolment of the new Asantehemaa.
Lady Julia was out of the country during the historic ceremony and decided to meet with her mother-in-law immediately upon her return barely a week ago.
Lady Julia was accompanied by Mr Ernest Saahene, Head of Protocol at the Manhyia Palace, alongside other palace officials and royals.
