Asantehemaa Hosts Lady Julia in Heartwarming Union Following Enstoolment

The Queen of the Asante Kingdom, Nana Yaa Akyaa II, hosted her traditional daughter-in-law, Lady Julia Osei Tutu, on Friday, October 16, 2026.

The courtesy visit by the wife of the Asantehene marked their first in-person encounter since the enstoolment of the new Asantehemaa.

Lady Julia, who was out of the country during the historic enstoolment, sought to pay homage to her mother-in-law immediately upon her return barely a week ago.

During the visit, Lady Julia extended her warmest wishes for the Queen, stating, “I wish you a successful reign and long life.”

As a sign of respect and reverence for the new occupant of the Kusi Amoa Stool, Lady Julia presented gifts to Her Majesty.

In a warm embrace and with visible joy, Nana Yaa Akyaa II welcomed her daughter-in-law, expressing her sincere appreciation for the visit, the presents, and the strong traditional bonds of support.
