KNUST Announces Re-Opening Dates For 2026/2027 Academic Year

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has announced revised re-opening dates for the 2026/2027 academic year.

In an Official Notice No. 4/26 dated October 14, 2026, and signed by the Deputy Registrar, General Administration, E.T. Otieku, for the Registrar, the University said the decision follows an Emergency Executive Committee Meeting held on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.

According to the notice, Freshmen are expected to report on Thursday, October 15, 2026, while Continuing Students will return on Saturday, October 17, 2026.

Lectures for the academic year will officially begin on Monday, October 19, 2026.

The University has advised all students, parents/guardians and other stakeholders to take note of the revised arrangements accordingly.

“The University appreciates the understanding, patience and cooperation of all stakeholders,” the notice added.
