A/R: Power Cut to Hit Several Communities on Friday as ECG Prepares For Planned Maintenance
Several communities in the Ashanti Region will experience a temporary power outage on Friday, October 9, 2026, according to a notice issued by the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).
According to the company, the power disruption is anticipated in the wake of planned maintenance work.
The exercise, announced on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, is aimed at improving service delivery in the affected areas. The outage is scheduled to last from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Communities to be affected include Achease, KD Sereso, Nyinahin, Kuffuor Camp, Bayerebon, Nagole, Ntoboroso, Adobewura, Anhwiafutu, Kotokuom, Agogoso, Akorabokrom, Anyinamso 1&2, Afepaye, Antwiagyeikrom, Sreso Timpomu and surrounding areas.
The ECG further apologised for the inconvenience that will arise as a result of the exercise.
