Mahama to Cut Sod For New Accra Convention Centre At Trade Fair Site

President John Dramani Mahama will, in the coming weeks, cut the sod for the construction of the Accra Convention Centre, the latest investment by the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT).

This was disclosed by Government Spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu in a Facebook post.

According to him, the project is an 81,422 square metre facility to be located at the Ghana International Trade Fair Centre, La.

It will have a 3,000-seater main conference hall, a Presidential Hall for high-level meetings, four large auditoriums and other modern amenities.

The project is expected to boost Ghana’s conference tourism and Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) potential.

It will also provide a modern venue for large-scale national and international events.
