Ghana Airports Company Limited to Test Airport Contingency, Emergency Plans

The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) will be conducting a full-scale aviation security exercise to test the effectiveness of the Airport Contingency Plan (ACP) and Airport Emergency Plan (AEP).
The exercise, to be termed “Exercise Falcon Eye,” will be based on a simulated act of unlawful interference with airport operations.
According to GACL, the exercise will assess the readiness of the Emergency Operations Centre, decision-making processes, communication and information dissemination, and the response capabilities of key emergency and security agencies.
The exercise will bring together the Ghana Airports Company Limited, the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), Airline Operators, the Ghana Police Service, the Ghana National Fire Service, the National Ambulance Service, the Ghana Army, NADMO, the Ghana Immigration Service, the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority, and other relevant stakeholders.
The exercise is expected to strengthen coordination, preparedness, and response among airport stakeholders and enhance Ghana’s capacity to manage aviation security emergencies.
