GRA Probes Alleged Extortion By Customs Officer At Accra International Airport

The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has commenced investigations into an alleged extortion by a Customs Officer stationed at the Accra International Airport (AIA).

The probe follows a video circulating on social media by a TikToker known as Lady Rev. Adwoa Pretty, in which she alleges that a Customs Officer collected GH¢600 from her without issuing a receipt.

In a public notice, the GRA said it has taken note of the video and has commenced an investigation into the matter.

The Authority assured the public that it will update the general public on the findings when the investigations are completed.

The GRA said it remains committed to upholding integrity, accountability and professionalism in the discharge of its mandate.
