Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Arrives in Ghana For Two-Day Official Visit

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, on Wednesday welcomed the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, His Excellency Jeenbek Kulubayev, at the Accra International Airport.
The Kyrgyz top diplomat is in Ghana for a two-day official visit at the invitation of Hon. Ablakwa.
In a Facebook post announcing the arrival, Mr Ablakwa described Mr Kulubayev as his “great friend and brother” and noted the historic nature of the visit.
“He is the first Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan to visit Ghana, just as I became the first Foreign Minister of Ghana to visit Kyrgyzstan in March this year,” the Foreign Minister wrote.
Mr Ablakwa disclosed that Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubayev was a strong supporter and campaigner for the historic Ghana-led UN resolution declaring the transatlantic enslavement as the gravest crime against humanity.
He added that with Ghana’s support, Kyrgyzstan was elected this year to the UN Security Council.
According to the Foreign Minister, the two countries will use the visit to expand the frontiers of cooperation and agree on further strategic collaboration in the multilateral arena.
