Ghana Opens First Pharmaceutical Innovation Park For Expression Of Interest

Ghana’s first integrated pharmaceutical innovation park is open for expressions of interest from local and international investors.
The Legon Pharmaceutical Innovation Park (LePIP) – a 2,000-acre, GMP-ready hub at the Osudoku/Ningo Prampram enclave – is inviting pharmaceutical manufacturers, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) producers, vaccine and biologics developers, nutraceutical and herbal medicine companies, and diagnostics and medical device makers to register interest in tenancy.
The park, being developed under the Government of Ghana’s 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development programme, will offer shared power, water and cold-chain infrastructure, centralised quality control laboratories and effluent treatment, as well as access to Ghana, ECOWAS and AfCFTA markets.
According to the Secretariat, key infrastructure and facilities at the park include reliable power and water, cold-chain and logistics services, factory shell buildings, centralised quality control laboratories, effluent treatment, a pharmaceutical research and innovation centre, and GMP-compliant shared infrastructure.
Investment opportunities at LePIP cover Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), generics and essential medicines, vaccines and biologics, nutraceuticals and herbal medicines, and diagnostics and medical devices.
The deadline for submission is October 12, 2026, while clarification queries should be submitted by October 2, 2026.
