U/WR: Fire Officers Rescue Trapped Driver After Tipper Truck Overturns
The Bolgatanga Municipal Fire Station has rescued a 35-year-old driver who was trapped after his loaded tipper truck overturned near the Customs Barrier in the Bolgatanga East District.
The accident involved a tipper truck with registration number GG 4478-21, driven by Mr Sulemana Nangne.
According to the Ghana National Fire Service, a six-member crew led by STNO1 Bright Atimbiok was dispatched at 1730 hours following a distress call and arrived at the scene at 1738 hours.
The crew commenced extrication operations and successfully rescued the trapped driver at 1921 hours.
The victim was subsequently handed over to the Ambulance Service and transported to the Upper East Regional Hospital for medical attention.
