NAFCO Posts GH¢91.7m Profit in 2025 After GH¢19m Loss In 2024

The National Food Buffer Stock Company (NAFCO) has recorded a GH¢91.7 million net profit in 2025, a significant turnaround from a GH¢19 million net loss in 2024.
The Minister for Food and Agriculture, Hon. Eric Opoku, disclosed this at NAFCO’s Annual General Meeting on Thursday, September 24, 2026.
He described the development as encouraging as the Company continues to strengthen its role in Ghana’s food security architecture.
The Minister called for stronger procurement planning, improved storage and inventory systems, and continued collaboration with farmers and development partners.
“Above all, the Ghanaian farmer must remain central to this effort,” he stated.
NAFCO currently holds 20,443 metric tonnes of grains, while rehabilitation works on warehouses in Yendi, Tamale, Wenchi, Sunyani and Kumasi are ongoing.
