Finance Minister Engages AGI and Industry Leaders Ahead of 2027 Budget

Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson has engaged the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) and leading industry executives as part of consultations for the 2027 Budget.

Dr Forson urged businesses to invest with confidence, assuring them that the government would sustain Ghana’s economic gains.

“Feel free to invest because we will sustain the gains. The golden era for Ghana is beginning,” he said.

He announced that the government’s economic transformation blueprint would be unveiled in the 2027 Budget, moving Ghana from stability to transformation.

The blueprint will include a $10 billion investment in strategic sectors over the next four years to increase production, promote value addition, expand exports and create jobs.

Dr Forson also pledged to further reduce the cost of capital and called on businesses to support domestic revenue mobilisation to prevent excessive government borrowing.

AGI President Kofi Nsiah-Poku commended the government for stabilising the economy, adding that the next priority must be industrial growth and job creation.
