DVLA Introduces Web-Based Verification Platform

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) has introduced a web-based verification platform alongside the launch of its DVLAVerify App on iOS for vehicle registration applicants.

In a notice dated October 23, 2026, the Authority informed the general public, especially prospective vehicle owners and applicants, of key updates regarding identity verification for vehicle registration.

According to the Authority, the DVLAVerify App is now officially live and available for download on the Apple App Store, allowing iPhone users to complete their biometric identity verification seamlessly from their mobile devices.

For applicants who do not have access to a compatible smartphone, the Authority has provided an online portal to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.

The web-based platform allows applicants to complete their identity verification directly through any web browser on a compatible computer with a working webcam via: https://vrs2.dvla.gov.gh/vrs_selfie/index.xhtml.

The DVLA says it remains committed to leveraging modern technology to provide convenient, accessible and efficient services to clients across the country.

Applicants seeking further enquiries or technical support have been advised to contact the DVLA Customer Support Centre or visit the nearest DVLA office.
