KNUST Warns Public Against Unauthorised Admissions, Accommodation Agents

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has cautioned prospective students and parents against dealing with unauthorised persons and platforms claiming to offer admissions and accommodation services on behalf of the University.
In an Important Notice issued on September 16, 2026, and signed by the University Relations Officer, Dr Daniel Norris Bekoe, KNUST said it has taken note of a growing number of social media posts, WhatsApp groups, websites and other online platforms purporting to provide official information, guidance or assistance on KNUST admissions, hall allocation and room bookings.
The University stated that only officially designated KNUST offices and platforms are authorised to provide information and guidance on admissions and accommodation matters.
“Prospective students and parents are, therefore, encouraged to be very careful when dealing with individuals or groups that claim to be able to secure admission, guarantee hall accommodation or arrange room bookings on their behalf,” the statement said.
It cautioned the public not to send money, admission credentials, passwords or personal documents to anyone simply because they claim to represent KNUST.
The University advised that for all matters relating to admissions, fees, accommodation and hall bookings, prospective students should use information published through its official website, www.knust.edu.gh, or contact the Admissions Office on (+233) 24 013 0946 / (+233) 20 133 2812 / (+233) 54 020 6262, WhatsApp: (+233) 24 013 0946, Telegram: (+233) 50 048 2807.
KNUST further stressed that KNUST Admissions Portal credentials are personal and confidential, and applicants should not share their username, password or other login details with anyone.
