GES Declares September 25 as National CPD Day
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has declared Friday, September 25, 2026, as National Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Day.
According to the GES, the day is set aside as part of the continuous development of staff.
The National CPD Day will be held under the theme: “Assessment in the Age of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Empowering Teachers to Assess Learning.”
Regional Directors have been requested to disseminate the information to all Metropolitan/Municipal/District Directors, Regional Managers of Education Units and Heads of Schools within their regions.
They are also to coordinate the necessary arrangements to ensure full participation and successful implementation of the CPD activities.
“We count on your cooperation to make this programme impactful,” the statement added.
The declaration was contained in a circular dated September 15, 2026, signed by the Deputy Director-General (Management Services), Prof. Smile Dzisi (Mrs.), for the Director-General, and addressed to all Regional Directors of Education.
