Amoakohene Halts Alleged Plan To Demolish School For 24-Hour Market Project

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, has directed the Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly to immediately halt all activities in connection with alleged plans to demolish a school facility for the construction of a 24-hour market.
The Minister’s directive follows a viral video circulating on social media concerning the alleged demolition.
In a Facebook post on Monday, Dr Amoakohene said he has summoned the relevant stakeholders to his office for a full review of the matter.
“I wish to assure the general public that the school has not been demolished and will not be demolished,” he stated.
He urged citizens to remain calm and disregard any claims or speculation until the review is completed and the facts are clearly established.
“As Regional Minister, my priority remains the protection of public interest and the orderly implementation of development projects in the region,” Dr Amoakohene added.
