A/R: ECG Announces Planned Maintenance on Tuesday

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) will undertake planned maintenance work in the Ashanti Region on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

The exercise, which is to improve service delivery, will result in a temporary power outage from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

According to a notice issued by ECG on Sunday, September 6, 2026, the affected areas are Anyinam, Ahenema Kokoben, Sakora Park and Christian University.

The rest include Odeneho Kwadaso, OWASS, Dr ANANE, VIP Hotel, Breman, Kronum, UGC and surrounding areas.

ECG has apologised for the inconvenience that will arise from the exercise and urged residents and businesses in the affected areas to take note and plan accordingly.
