U/ER: Suspect Dies In Police-Military Operation In Binduri

The Upper East Regional Police Command, in collaboration with the Military, has conducted an intelligence-led operation following recent shooting incidents and other firearm-related offences in the Binduri District.

During the operation, one of the suspects, Isaka Sabani alias “Culture”, aged 32, who sustained gunshot wounds, passed away.

The team retrieved from him one AK-47 assault rifle loaded with 28 rounds of ammunition.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspect was wanted in connection with a case of attempted murder and unlawful discharge of firearms reported at the Bawku Police Station on August 28, 2026.

He is also suspected of involvement in shooting incidents at Agenda 111, Aniisi and Gumyoko in the Binduri District on August 29, 30 and 31.

The Upper East Regional Police Command says it will continue to collaborate with sister security agencies and all other stakeholders to bring all perpetrators to justice and ensure security, law and order in the region.
