NSA Reopens Portal for PIN Codes for Defaulters And Private Candidates For 2026/2027 Service Year

The Management of the National Service Authority (NSA) has announced the reopening of the portal for the application of PIN codes for defaulters and private candidates for the 2026/2027 service year.

According to a press release dated August 31, 2026, and signed by the Management of the Authority, the portal has been reopened from Monday, August 31, 2026, to Friday, September 4, 2026.

Eligible applicants, including Ghanaian nationals who have completed their studies abroad, as well as candidates under the private and defaulter categories, and candidates facing extenuating circumstances with registration, are encouraged to take advantage of the final reopening of the portal to complete their online registration and submit all required documents at the designated NSA offices within the stipulated period.

Applicants are therefore strongly advised to ensure that all registration requirements and supporting documents are completed and submitted on or before Friday, September 4, 2026.

The NSA reminded the public that, pursuant to the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), every Ghanaian citizen who has completed an accredited tertiary institution is mandated to undertake National Service to the State.

The Management urged all eligible applicants who are yet to complete the process to use this final extended period to regularise their status and obtain their PIN codes before the deadline.

The Authority stressed that Friday, September 4, 2026, shall be the Final Deadline for the application for PIN codes for Defaulters and Private Candidates under this extension.
