Minerals Commission Warns Public Against Fraudulent Job Recruitment Schemes

The Minerals Commission has cautioned the public against fraudulent activities involving individuals and unauthorised entities falsely claiming to offer employment or facilitate recruitment into the Commission in exchange for fees.

In a disclaimer for immediate release, Management of the Commission said its attention had been drawn to the illicit activities and urged the public to exercise extreme caution and to disregard any such communications.

The Commission stated categorically that it has not contracted any individual, agent or group of persons to recruit on its behalf. It stressed that it does not and will never demand any form of payment, down payment, facilitation fee or money in exchange for employment, noting that recruitment into the public service of Ghana is free.

The Commission further indicated that all official recruitments, when available, are duly advertised through the national dailies, its official website at mincom.gov.gh, its verified social media handles and news portals. Interested applicants have therefore been advised to refer only to these official sources for authentic information.

According to the statement, the Commission does not charge any fees at any stage of the recruitment process, nor does it engage private agents to recruit on its behalf.

The public has been strongly urged to desist from engaging with any person or group making such representations. Anyone who has been approached in this manner is encouraged to report the activities to the nearest law enforcement agency or to the Minerals Commission’s official contact channels.

The Commission said it remains committed to transparency and integrity in all its operations and deeply regrets any inconvenience or confusion the illicit activities may cause.
