Finance Ministry Invites Public Input for 2027–2030 Budget

The Ministry of Finance has opened a call for public submissions ahead of the presentation of the 2027–2030 Budget Statement and Economic Policy of Government to Parliament.
In a statement released on Monday, the Ministry said it had commenced preparations for the budget in accordance with Section 21 (1) (a) of the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921).
It is inviting submissions from the public and key stakeholders for consideration in the development of the 2027–2030 National Budget.
The Ministry extended appreciation to Business Associations, Recognised Professional Bodies, Financial Institutions, Civil Society Organisations, Faith-Based Organisations, and the general public for their continuous commitment to the national budget process.
According to the Ministry, the call for submissions reflects government’s commitment to promoting transparency, strengthening citizen participation in the budget process, and ensuring that national policies and budgetary decisions are inclusive and responsive to the needs and aspirations of Ghanaians.
The Budget Statement and Economic Policy is expected to be presented to Parliament by November 15 , 2026.
The Ministry directed that all submissions should be forwarded electronically to bdru@mofep.gov.gh by close of business on Friday 21st August 2026.
It said the input received will help shape fiscal policy and development priorities for the four-year period.
