Ato Forson Hands Over the Ministry of Defence to Kenneth Gilbert Adjei

Acting Minister for Defence, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, has formally handed over the stewardship of the Ministry of Defence to Hon. Kenneth Gilbert Adjei.
Announcing the transition in a Facebook post on Friday, Dr Forson said he was leaving the Ministry with deep gratitude, a profound sense of honour and the satisfaction of duty fulfilled.
The handover marks a change in leadership at the Ministry of Defence as Hon. Adjei assumes responsibility for the sector.
It comes after President John Dramani Mahama reassigned Gilbert from the Ministry of Works and Housing to the Defence Ministry.
Ato Forson was appointed as the caretaker Minister in 2025 after Edward Omane Boamah died among seven others in a helicopter crash in August.
