2026 Civil Service Policy and Exhibition Fair Opens as Trade Ministry Showcases New Policies and Programmes
The 2026 Civil Service Week Policy and Exhibition Fair has officially opened at the Accra Sports Stadium, with the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry and its Agencies making a strong showing.
The Ministry’s exhibition booth is showcasing key projects, initiatives and programmes implemented over the past one and a half years through pictorial displays, while also highlighting newly approved policies in the garment and textiles, pharmaceuticals, component manufacturing and agribusiness sectors.
The four-day event, which runs from Monday, August 10 to Thursday, August 13, 2026, is being held under the theme: “The Resetting Agenda for Sustainable Development in Ghana: The Civil Service’s Responsibility.”
The Fair provides an important platform for Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs), as well as private sector organisations, to provide on-the-spot services and showcase their programmes, products and services to Civil Service staff and the general public.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Head of Civil Service, Dr Evans Aggrey-Darko, commended the Heads of MDAs and MMDAs for their commitment and contributions towards the successful organisation of this year’s celebration.
He also applauded Civil Service staff across the country for their dedication, professionalism and continued commitment to effective public service delivery.
Dr Aggrey-Darko was accompanied by the Chief Director of the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Mr Noah Tumfo, and other Chief Directors to officially open the Fair.
The delegation later toured the exhibition grounds to inspect the various booths mounted by participating institutions.
Following the inspection, the Head of Civil Service encouraged coordinators and facilitators at the exhibition to uphold the guiding principles of the Civil Service and ensure that all visitors are treated with respect, professionalism and courtesy throughout the event.
