2026 WCQ: Our Players Are Ready- Stephen Appiah

Black Stars Management Committee member, Stephen Appiah, has announced the readiness of the players for the two qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup tournament.
According to him, they are bent on qualifying the country for the tournament as an atonement for the missed Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
“Talking to them, they are ready to play the two games, and we know that we have two crucial games that will determine our chances for the World Cup, but talking to them, they are ready to deliver,” the former Black Stars player told reporters.
Ghana will come up against Chad at Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno on Thursday, September 4, 2025, before returning home to host Mali on Monday, September 8, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Ghana currently tops Group I in the African Qualifiers with 15 points after five wins and one loss from six matches.
The players are in Ghana. They went through their first training on Monday and will take their second today before their departure later in the day for N’Djamena.
